I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
